Attila Malek Wins the Equal Challenge Tournament!

Newport Beach, CA – Mamma Mia! After hosting 11 people, the U.S. National Champion Attila Malek emerged victorious as the Equal Challenge table tennis winner in Newport Beach on October 12th, besting Ronald Yu by a narrow margin. The exhilarating finale in the decisive fifth game was determined by a minimal two point margin.

Ronald Yu won the first game before Attila Malek, stunned by the reverse, accelerated into high gear to capture the next two rounds.

The decision eventually went to Attila Malek, as he won 8-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-13, 7-11.
