Ariel Hsing lost her crown at the table tennis US Nationals 2012 (VIDEOS)

Ariel Hsing failed in her attempt of winning her third title in a row at the table tennis US Nationals 2012 held from 18th to 22th December in Las Vegas. She was defeated by her team mate Lily Zhang in a full distance match. Hsing wasn’t left empty-handed because she and Timothy Wang won the mixed doubles. Wang also captured the men’s singles title after defeating Jeff Lin Huang in the final, and the doubles title with Han Xiao.

Ariel Hsing couldn’t repeat success of the two previous years at the table tennis US Nationals 2012 and fell against Lily Zhang in a close final match. Zhang gave no chance to Hsing at the beginning and won the first two games. Then Hsing fought back and managed to get the third game. Zhang came back into the game and took the fourth game. But Hsing didn’t surrender and managed to level at 3:3. Hsing kept a one and two points advantage during the deciding game but Zhang prevailed in the last rallies and clinched her first ever table tennis US National 2012 singles’s title. In the two previous years Zhang was defeated by Hsing in the final.
